Corporate Social Responsibility
Treedom is the only online platform in the world where you can have someone plant a tree for you and then follow it online. Since its foundation in 2010 in Florence, more than 290,000 trees have been planted in Africa, South America and Italy. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and bring environmental, social and financial benefits to their communities. Thanks to its business model, in 2014 Treedom became part of the Certified B Corporations, a network of companies that stand out for high environmental and social performance.
Every tree on Treedom is geo-localized and photographed and has its online page, it can be kept or virtually gifted to others. Thanks to these features, Treedom’s tree engages people and at the same time it represents a great communication and marketing tool for companies.
Food for Good is the project of recovery of surplus food from organized events by Federcongressi&eventi in collaboration with Banco Alimentare and Equoevento.
The project is simple, does not require a great effort or costs, and complies with Italy’s Good Samaritan law (Law 155/2003) Through Banco Alimentare and Equoevento, the Association contacts the heads of catering companies in touch with the non-profit organization located in the region in which their event is taking place, so that they can collect the surplus food at the end of the lunch or dinner.
The recovered food is then delivered to charitable organizations (family homes, soup kitchens and refugee centers).
Aware of our responsibility towards all stakeholders in terms of ethics, sustainability, transparency and quality of service, we have equipped ourselves with instruments aimed at ensuring compliance with these principles and constant monitoring of their application:
Code of Ethics, Organisational Model and Certified Quality System.
Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics summarizes the values and purposes, defining the general principles of application, the duties and responsibilities that govern relations among collaborators, customers and suppliers. Here are defined the company’s relations with the Public Administration, the Judicial and Public Supervisory Authorities, the Political Forces and the stakeholder Associations, the methods of application, dissemination and training.
The Organisational Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001 contains rules and general principles of conduct, with the aim of preventing the risks associated with the commission of the crimes listed in the decree.
The document includes a series of procedures that all parties related to MCO are required to know and respect.
The quality standards of the services offered by MCO are certified by specialized companies.
All the projects, in each of the different phases, are subjected to the constant control of provided services on the basis of procedures and methodologies aimed at ensuring full customer satisfaction.
